The doubletree guest suites is in a superb location, has great transport too and self catering France

2 adults and 4 children stayed. Check-in was easy – flowed well and staff were pleasant. The hotel room was comfortable, clean and spacious. It had a separate living room area with microwave and refrigerator. The only problem we found was the fridge. They had to replace it twice! Accommodation Niseko

The hotel restaurant was pretty good but I found it a little expensive –but I should have guessed that... The breakfast was great! We bought coffee, fruit and muffins from the on-site café – open from 6am abd really expensive. The hotel pool is small yet still clean and a good temperature. I found the place to be safe and pleasant. It took us 15-20 minutes to walk to the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure – of course we had to take the kiddies there – but the hotel does not provide a shuttle. How to Buy Travel Insurance
The local mall - The Block at Orange was really disappointing…

Loved the Business Centre we could check-in online and print our boarding cards before we returned home.

I would definitely stay at the Doubletree again. It was safe and comfortable and the kids absolutely loved it and that is what matters most.

Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 222px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fTACMMSo-MQ/TBc9W6Z25KI/AAAAAAAAAAc/_V0EuQqnkhA/s320/Residence+Inn+Anaheim+Maingate.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482918535190996130" />
Residence Inn by Marriott Anaheim Maingate is a half-mile from the Anaheim Convention Center and the Disneyland® Resort, which includes Disneyland® Park and Disney's California Adventure® Park. The property is across the street from the Anaheim Gardenwalk - 4D Ultrasound Melbourne
The 200 suites at this smoke-free hotel are spread among 25 two-story buildings on 11 acres with barbecue grills, a toddler playground, and a fire pit. All suites are accessed by exterior corridors and there are no elevators. cheap flights to melbourne
Guests enjoy two spa tubs, a children's pool, an outdoor pool, a tennis and basketball court, and a fitness room with cardio equipment. Guests check in at the Gate House, a separate building that houses a mini-mart and three plasma-screen TVs. Twenty-five two-story buildings create a neighborhood feel. Goa Travel

Amenity highlights: Two spa tubs, an outdoor pool, a basketball and tennis court, and a fitness room with cardio equipment offer opportunities to relax and exercise. A complimentary breakfast buffet with hot items is served daily.
At the Disney desk, guests can purchase shuttle passes and tickets to the Disney theme parks and avoid long lines at the parks.
REVIEW: I reserved two of the Penthouse family suites for the 16 pax Experienced public relations company (8 in each). The rooms are perfect for large families. The kitchen is well appointed... upstairs loft has a huge king bed with nightstands and another full bathroom... I would say the penthouse lofts are closer to a small apartment ..spotless and clean. Housekeeping Service is fast. The beds are comfortable with loads of pillows ..
Local restaurants, of which there are many are within a one to two block walk of the hotel on the Garden walk... There is also a Disney Kiosk at this hotel selling Disney tickets and ART shuttle tickets a 5 day pass for adults was $15 and for kids $4 ..definitely worth the cost.
BAD REVIEW: When we checked in and discovered we were next to the sport court and pool, we asked to be moved. The Hotel told us we wouldn't hear them – guess what? We could hear them! The pool is open day and night – although the staff said if gets too loud at night they’ll sort it out.... So it seemed that it didn’t matter that we can't nap during the day? There was constant hitting of the ball on the court or the cannonballs into the pool. Ok sure – handle the noise during the day – but it wasn’t quiet at night either!

It’s past midnight and people are having a party in the pool! No one can sleep! And the staff cannot keep quiet. Thank you, Residence Inn. Can’t sleep at night and can’t sleep during the day.

Not staying here again.

Marriotts Newport Coast Villas

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 222px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_fTACMMSo-MQ/TBc9FHSC1rI/AAAAAAAAAAU/rCHWLfallV4/s320/Marriotts-Newport-Coast-Villas-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482918229410240178" />
Recreational amenities at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas include an outdoor pool and a spa tub. Onsite parking is complimentary.
REVIEW: Am currently staying with my two young daughters (both under 7) at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas. When given a choice, I tend to stay at Marriott brand properties as I find that they typically do a good job. This is, however, my first stab at one of their "Vacation" properties--i.e.

What I liked about Pot Belly Pig

Location of Hotel is absolutely outstanding. From my balcony I can see the Pacific Ocean in all its glory. Amazing. It’s only a few minutes’ drive to wonderful shopping and great restaurants. Freeway access is easy. The beach is a quite a walk but a short. AMAZING!! reminded me of the Hua Hin Hotel

The room was crazy good! Full kitchen, dinning area, two bedrooms and two baths. This place could easily sleep 8! Toshiba Satellite battery

What I didn’t like Cost of Divorce

Quite inconsistent...lunch and check-in were a disaster and a bit rough, respectively. More on lunch later but the check-in process left a lot to be desired. Reservation clearly stated check in is at 4 (usually Hotels check you in by 2pm), I was put off when we arrived in at 12:30 and were firmly brushed off by the front desk. They did take my cell and agreed to call when if our room was ready earlier. Sure we were there earlier – but they didn’t have to be rude about it. After lunch, my youngest child was practically falling asleep in my arms (a got past nap time!!) and I carried her back to the front desk maybe possibly the room would be ready – it was – but of course no one remembered that I was waiting and no one had any intent of calling. Cheap Hotels in Brussels

In the morning I must have caught the front desk off guard when I asked about London Holiday Rentals for a Wall Street Journal in rather than a USA Today. The desk clerk asked me "have you ever done this before??" Of course I ahve, EVERY time I stay at Marriott. He had to run to the manager – manager got it sorted and of course charged the paper to my room.

Ugh – Hated!
Lunch at the grill by the pool was an utter disappointment – the service was a disaster. The staff at the bar made us feel like they did us a favor by taking our order and then totally ruined it. It took 30 minutes to make two burgers and fries. (There is no table service – a pager is given to you and you pick it up yourself.) I took numerous trips to the order counter to find out what the status was – no on knew a thing.

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach

<img style="float:right; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 258px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_fTACMMSo-MQ/TBc76u60bbI/AAAAAAAAAAM/MWpy4499TYE/s320/Hyatt-Regency-Huntington-Beach-5ec76.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482916951560056242" />
ABOUT: Shimmering views of the Pacific and luxurious amenities await you at the oceanfront Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. This stunning, Spanish-inspired hotel in Huntington Beach will delight your every sense, with pampering spa treatments, irresistible restaurants, ocean adventures and superior service.

REVIEW: Stayed in the Hyatt from 31 May, 2009 to 7 June, 2009 with our 2 and 5 year old kids. Got two connecting rooms; Hyatt has a wonderful family plan, you pay only half price for the second room.

The rooms we had were a little disappointing : when booking, we have asked for Seaview rooms. We were told that connecting rooms are not available as direct Seaview rooms, only as court view or partial sea view. Opted then for the more expensive partial sea view - just to note after arriving that our rooms were directly facing the Beach Blvd, lots of traffic and noise and - even worse, the view of a power plant straightforward from our balcony. You do not really get any beach feelings when sitting on this balcony. I guess that even with courtyard view rooms you are better off than with a room in this wing. Avoid the "5-wing" (south west wing) of the building (rooms with numbers 25... or 35...) with impair room numbers (pair room numbers such as 3526, 3528... are fine. They are directed to the other side, not to Beach Boulevard, and not to the power plant).

Other than that the hotel met all of our expectations. Hotel has a great Slyders pool area with 3 waterslides for kids - and they just loved it! They have another pool which is more on the quiet side. Beach is a short walk over a bridge that crosses PCH.

Every morning, we had breakfast in the restaurant, was ok during the week, excellent at weekends when they were serving a wonderful buffet. Had dinner at their restaurant, too. Very good, reasonably priced.

Love to come back, would just make sure that we will get a room / rooms in a different wing.
